Hi there :)

You see, at the age of fourteen I had the habit of searching for funny names (in my country there ARE funny names) just to make fun of them with my friends. That was our daily activity. Everything’s just fine for dumb teens. One day in my english class, a friend took his school-year book and as I was looking at it, I found this random dude who’s name was “Pacosillo Tarifa”. I don’t know how that name sounds to you, but for me was the most hilarious thing ever.

Next morning, the first thing I did was telling my friends about this incredible unique name. They all laughed a lot, but guess what. At the end of that day my new nickname was Pacosillo Tarifa xD. And in just a week everyone in school stopped calling me Sergio (that’s my real name btw) and I became Pacosillo Tarifa. At first it was funny, but then I realized it’s not a cool name to be called, so I told everyone to stop calling me Pacosillo and find something else. Their response was the obvious abbreviation “Paco”.

So, since 2007 I’m mostly known as Paco. That was my Facebook name, that’s how I’m still called by most of my friends. Even on formal invitations, people sometimes instead of writing my real name they just called me Paco (this just happened last week).

I’ve been a musician for many years and throughout most of those years I’ve been looking for a cool catchy artist name. Paco was not enough and it’s quite common. My math teacher once called me Paco Stanley, and that sounded great until I found out Paco Stanley was a mexican comedian who was murdered by narcos, or something like that.

And because I had once my Game of Thrones mania, and because british music significantly influenced my life. Along with my taste for vintage style and aesthetic, combined with classic pop/rock. (yes, this is how my music sounds) I erased the Stanley and gave myself the noble title of being a Sir.

I’m not really elegant, but I have my style. I wear a moustache that makes me look older than I am. On my next post I’ll talk about some funny things that happened with my name. Anyway I think “Sir Paco” sounds good enough to be known as an artist, what do you think?
